Centre Parks and Recreation's mission is to enrich the lives of the residents of Centre and Cherokee County. Our goal is to provide safe and welcoming parks and recreation facilities. We strive to offer diverse recreation and cultural opportunities for people of all ages to play, learn, and build within our community.

We are committed to providing exceptional facilities and events to enrich the lives of our residents; from sports to special events our services are vital to our community. Our youth sports programs provide year-round activities for all to enjoy.

Fall: (Soccer)

ARPA youth soccer is offered to ages from 4-11 yrs old at Ed Yarbrough Sports Complex. Registration begins the first week of August. The season is September and October.

Winter: (Basketball)

ARPA youth basketball is offered for ages 7-12 yr olds. Registration is the first week of November. The season begins in December and lasts until February.

Spring: (Baseball )

Baseball is offered for ages 4-12 yr olds. Registration begins the last week of January and ends mid-February. The season begins the first week of April and ends in May.

Spring: (Softball)

USA Softball is offered to ages 6-12 yr olds. Registration begins the last week of January and ends mid-February. Softball season begins the first week of April and ends mid-May

Centre City Park

The City Park: located on Armory Drive.

The park consists of a ½ mile walking track that meanders around the park. Four tennis courts. The park has a 4,000 sq ft pavilion with open sides, 10 picnic tables, and a large barbeque grill (For reservations please call city hall). The park has 2 large playground adventure equipment. 8 swings and one handicapped cradle. Multiple benches for relaxation.
